Content

This module explores complex interactions between genes and nutrients. The effect of genetic variation on dietary response (Nutrigenetics), how nutrients affect the genome (mechanisms of gene regulation, nutrient and signaling pathway), Nutrient sensing, transcriptome, proteome and metabolome and the role of nutrients and bioactive food compounds in gene expression, and how (Nutrigenomics, Nutriepigenetics) will be explored.
Different items :
- Effect of carbohydrate on gene expression
- Effect of protein on gene expression (Insulin / mTOR)
- Regulation of gene expression by dietary fat
- Effect of minerals on gene expression
- Effect of vitamins on gene expression
- ER stress and metabolic diseases
- Epigenetic and nutritional programing
- Amino acid and signaling pathways (GCN2)
- Central nutrient sensing and food intake regulation
- Nutrigenomic
- Bioactive food compounds in gene expression
- Genetic variation an individual’s disease risk
